BlueDevil Products Chevy Finishes 9th in Myrtle Beach 400 Truck Race

The BlueDevil Products Chevy started 10th and finished 9th in a 100 lap race that saw many cautions in the 1st half but none during the final 50 when the BlueDevil Products Chevy needed one the most.

” We could have used a caution there at the end – we were a 1/2 second faster than the leaders during the final 20 laps but ran out of time to track’em down” said a proud but despondent Hambone at the races end.

The team’s shrug, for sure, shows how far they have come.  “To be disappointed after our best finish in the Myrtle Beach 400 to date, our first top 10 in the Myrtle Beach 400, (with 20 Super Trucks out there beating and banging) – hell the first time finishing on the lead lap, let alone the same straight away as the leaders is huge! We’re getting closer to that first Super Truck victory, we can smell it – unfortunately we have to wait until next season to get after it again.”

HMR’s preparation for the big race can be credited for the top 10 finish which included some productive rounds of practice on Wednesday as well as one practice round on Friday after the team’s sponsor event; Customer appreciation Day at the Advance Auto Parts with BlueDevil Products.  Ryan Hall led the practice round efforts as well as was crew chief and spotter for the big race.

The BluDevil Products truck climbed to 7th place mid-race, slid back to 11th and then turned it on to gain 2 spots back finishing in 9th place overall.

“I’d like to thank Michael Schrecker and the BlueDevil Products crew for their support this season. This has been a superb partnership. It felt really good that Michael made it up from Charleston for several of our Myrtle Beach and Dillon races – That’s a sponsor who really cares and wants to be a part of the action. I’d also like to thank Ryan Hall and our associate sponsors Highsmith Insurance, Carolina Comfort Specialists, Hughes Lumber, Precision Automotive, and Warren Capital Group. Cheers everybody,  have a safe Holiday and see you at the track next season!!  -HMR
